Quick entry
Some time ago in the past this year, my Grandson went to Smith's to get me a cake. Only the Bakery was closed, he was told there was no one there to write 'Happy Birthday', he asked if he could do it himself, and he did! How's that for a 8 year old. There is no such thing as it can't be done in his world, he finds a way.
Tonight at Grandson's Taekwondo class, I noticed he had a bat in the cave. I didn't say anything because I was busy praising him. Grandson and his partner, (a bit older boy) were exchanging moves when all of the sudden Grandson dips a finger in his nose to chase the bat around. His Master started talking, and of course there's a great chase happening right there in his nose. Rey was rocking on his heels left and right, as his finger tried and tried to apprehend the bat. That finger went round and round, up and down, side to side. All the while his partner is staring at him amused, his tongue can be seen moving side to side, intense with Grandson's finger, he too.. was rocking forward and backwards staring. It was quite a chase, the boy was intrigued with this as he was not even listening to the speech, nor do I think he even notice there was a speech in the works. Boy, that bat must've know how to give a good chase.

November
Rey has been competing with older kids now, only if the Masters' of that Dojang will allow. Some know him and will allow, some will not because he is only 8 and not a whole Black Belt yet. He is only weeks away from getting his Black Belt. Rey has been getting First Places, but not this weekend, he got Second sparring with a 11 year old Black Belt. The rest of them he beat 2nd Dan Black Belts in both Poomsae and Sparring. Great job Rey!!
How is he doing? He is okay with his braces but he pulls them off in his sleep. We have to go again this week to see if his dentist can fix it. I don't know what to do or say, because he does it in his sleep. I know he doesn't mean it, but yep.. it's a weekend and that wire is loose in his mouth.
School, he is doing Medical Terminology as well as the other courses that he will need to know. He loves math. He is doing prealgebra, I'm glad he sees it as a game. He is a great reader.
Church, we go to the one that's a block over from the house. I think it's ridiculous to go miles away, when there is a church just right across the street. As long as Rey's happy, that's all it matters to me.
